Door of Hope is a Portland-based church that holds services in unlikely places around the city, all in an effort to engage with their congregation in meaningful ways. Between summer services in the park and picnic baptisms at the river, Door of Hope is not your typical church.

One of their recent projects was a Scout Book full of hymns—a “little song book,” explained Evan Way from Door of Hope. They filled the pages with thirty songs they regularly sing together during worship services. Each song featured a title and lyrics hand-written by Joy Kim, an artist who attends the church.

What a fantastic use for the Scout Book—it’s the perfect size to tuck in your pocket and save for services week after week.
