Great Shorts

Great Shorts is Good Ink’s literary line, pairing favorite illustrators with a wide variety of classic stories and great authors from all over the world. Released in box sets, themed three-packs, and also available as singles, Great Shorts provides literature lovers and design connoisseurs with a perfectly pocket-sized read that’s ready anytime.

History of Mystery is a trio of detective stories that defined and refined the mystery genre. Featuring the seminal stories by Edgar Allan Poe, Arthur Conan Doyle, and G. K. Chesterton, this survey of the mystery genre is perfect for fans and novices alike. Each story is brought to life with the art of a great contemporary cartoonist: Roman Muradov (The New Yorker), Ethan Rilly (Pope Hats), and Dustin Harbin (Superior Showcase).

Fantastic Tales draws from the world’s fables, folktales, fairy tales, and fantasies to inspire and entertain. From Aesop and the Brothers Grimm to Oscar Wilde, these tales explore realms of magic and morality that have enchanted generations of readers. Each volume is beautifully illustrated by one of today’s best illustrators: Ryan Berkley (Work/Life), Eleanor Davis (MOME, The Secret Science Alliance), and Julia Gfrörer (America’s Best Comics).

Our inaugural series, American Shorts, mines 100 years of the U.S.A.’s literary canon of immortal short stories, from the horrific (“The Fall of the House of Usher”) to the heartwarming (“The Gift of the Magi”), with many stops along the way. Each 32-page volume of the 10-part American Shorts series pair a classic American author with a modern illustrator, creating a unique artistic collaboration across the years.
