Jim Mezei makes intricate, delicate, playful work. The Toronto-based illustrator makes work using hand-lettering, paint, woodcuts, ink, collage and even sometimes tea towels.

Jim recently created a custom Scout Book to use as a promotional tool for his illustration work, sending them out to art directors to show his skills. In a true entrepreneur spirit, he also sells them at festivals and art shows in packets with small prints and pieces.

In addition to his solo practice, Jim is one half of Sawhorse Design Co., a collaborative design studio with Kellen Hatanaka that offers design, illustration, art direction and other creative services.
