So, you’ve just finished filling one of our notebooks and now you’re wondering what to do with it. We love to keep, label, and categorize our notebooks. Scout Books co-founder Laura Whipple makes a notebook for each month with notes, ideas, minutes from meetings and anything else that needs pen and paper, and then archives them to be able to take a look back. They are great to keep around, and books are also an excellent carbon sink.

Some books, though, have lived out their life and need to go onto the next stage: recycling. All our paper is 100% recycled, and that’s the best method to dispose of them responsibly when you’re done with them. Thankfully in the U.S. over 87% of us have access to curbside or drop-off recycling services for paper. On top of giving your notebook another life, you’re saving space in a landfill. Every ton of paper recycled saves over 3.3 cubic yards of landfill space! Let’s keep those landfills clean.

As always, we’re committed to making our products as sustainable as possible, and we are thrilled we have a 100% recyclable product. If you want to find out more about our sustainability initiatives, check out this post we put together celebrating Earth Day!
