Robot Envy began as a New Year’s resolution. Artist and designer Dave Pasciuto was scheming on a new creative project for 2012, and landed on a pocket-sized solution inspired by a childhood filled with robot toys, cartoons and comic books.
Robot Envy is a book of drawings and sketches that embodies Dave’s love for all things robot; Mazinger, Robotech, Dynamo Joe and Appleseed are just a few of the droids that helped shape the book project, he explained.

The project was successfully funded through Kickstarter, and from the beginning Dave knew that presentation and craft were critical to the success of his project. He shared: “A colleague introduced me to Clibe and their promotional book made by Scout Books. I picked up the book, saw the ink, felt the quality and immediately thought, ‘This is my book.’”

Robot Envy contains more than 80 original robot designs, sketches and drawings. It features a black-and-white custom-printed interior, utilizing the Scout Book Make Your Own Book option. The cover is printed in three ink colors; blue, black and opaque white. Each book is wrapped in a special chipboard belly band.

You can order your own copy of the limited-edition Robot Envy directly from the website. Get yours today and dig into a world of artificial intelligence, chipboard and ink.
