Skillshare is a community marketplace where you can learn anything from anyone, anywhere. Their vision is to “increase the global passion index by building a new world of education.”

What exactly does that mean?

Skillshare is a community of learners, teachers and those curious enough about new things to do something about it. Their online platform connects users to unique classes and workshops in their cities.

They recently created a pocket notebook perfect for tucking away new ideas for later. Skillshare’s Scout Books have grown to work in multiple contexts for the New York City-based organization. Originally intended as a launch party gift for a series of new Creative Arts classes last summer, they’ve since been used as a giveaway to new teachers at workshops, and sent all across the country to Skillshare community ambassadors as a thank you for their support.

Anyone can browse Skillshare by city or type of class. They offer a place for curious learners interested in building their skills in the culinary arts, creative arts, entrepreneurship, or technology. Where there are people eager to learn, there are people eager to teach. As you might have guessed, Skillshare helps you share your skills. Anyone interested in teaching their passion can use Skillshare to access a community of people interested in learning.

Scout Books is an excellent tool for the curious Skillshare community member; to be a life-long learner requires being constantly open to the world. Taking in details to remember necessitates either a good memory or…always being prepared with a notebook in your pocket. Remaining curious sometimes requires a good tool.

And, as Skillshare claims, “the future belongs to the curious.”
