In June 2011, an event of grand ambitions took place in Portland, Oregon. Aiming for nothing less than inspiring people to lead remarkable lives, the World Domination Summit involved one small army of passionate people and one busy weekend of strategizing and adventure (including: presentations, group events, workshops, meetups, city tours, and mass book signings).

Spearheaded by writer/traveller/inspiration Chris Guillebeau, this “unconvention” took place all over the City of Roses (a.k.a Portlandia), and brought together like-minded people who were interested in “pursuing big goals while changing the world.”

Guillebeau is also the author of a book titled The Art of Non-Conformity. In this book, as well as his other online writing, he shares insight on setting your own rules, living the life you want, and changing the world in the process. He teaches by doing, and one of Chris’ big goals is to visit every country in the world before he turns 35. So far he’s tackled 151 of 192. Not too shabby.

Called “a heart attack of awesome” by one of the attendees, the World Domination Summit chose Scout Books for their event programs and note-taking tools. The 100% awesome solution was designed by the wonderful and talented Tsilli Pines. And, as you can see, they were put to great use by the 500+ participants at this event.

We like to say Scout Books are Little Books for Big Ideas. In this case, I think they are also perfectly sized for Big Dreams and Big Plans. Ready to be a part of it? You can pre-register for WDS 2012 here!
